It all started for TVF in the year Hywel Davies won the Grand National wearing the famous colours of Lady Anne, Duchess of Westminster, on Last Suspect. Yes, 1985 it was when we were formed. The foundations were laid in the Spring, and by the onset of the Winter, the end of November and beginning of December, to be precise, we were off and running!
So far, 2015 has been a big year for us. A very big year. So now, we are going to celebrate in style at Aintree Racecourse on Becher Chase Day. The racecourse is, in racing terms, just a few furlongs away from our established offices. It's a place where we feel at home. After all, we are fiercely proud to be a Liverpool Company. We are immensely proud of our heritage and our people. It's time now, to raise the bar yet again. But first, a visit or two to the bar. It's celebration time. But so much more than that.
It's really time to thank our wonderful clients for the fantastic association down the years. I'm so, so very appreciative of their support these last three decades. They know that, when they commission us to do a project, they get everything we have. My staff are amazing, truly amazing. From the supremely talented 'Design Teams' right the way through to the 'Events Teams', who are out there in all weathers to ensure the clients get what the clients want! The office girls, who put up with me, through thick and thin, rain and shine, and who are the first point of contact with our customers, are dedicated beyond belief. It's about everyone, I cannot thank everyone enough.
2016 promises to be huge for us. Our fabulous ongoing relationship with our existing clientele continues to prosper. The links we are establishing with racecourses for example are excellent. We also continue to attract new business both locally and further afield. For us, the size of the companies we work for is unimportant, it's all about the finished project. It's all about looking after them. It's what we do. It's our mantra.
So, on December the 5th, although not the very day we were formed, but around the same period, we will celebrate. We'll celebrate at Aintree. I've instructed my PR department to come up with a cracking competition FOR Aintree, and as I write, they are busy working on it. Details will be released before the witching hour on Halloween. The competition we did was hugely popular, I expect this one to eclipse that!
Welcome to our brand new TVF Promotions Website. I can't hide my delight, I absolutely love it. It's our shop window, but so much more. It's amazing.
Later on this year we are celebrating our 30 Year Anniversary, and what a fabulous journey it has been. I remember watching Last Suspect win The Grand National that year 1985 under Hywel Davies (pictured below), just about four big fences away from where I'm writing this, thinking to myself "later on this year my dream will be realised and we'll have premises in this magical corner of Liverpool".
The rest as, my family tell me, is History, 29 Grand National Winners later from Red Rum to the other 26, right up until Many Clouds we're still here.
Will we celebrate our 30th Anniversary? Too right we will, with whistles and bells on (bit like this brand new site) I'm proud of who we are, a family business, I'm confident that our staff all love working here, it's a family business with a family feel. Amidst all the serious designing, planning, building and product fitting lays a feel good factor laced with the special humour we are famous for. Each day is different, every day is exciting, yes we have hiccups, but nothing that holding our breath for a minute can't cure.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made this possible down the years from my long suffering wife Wendy, as hard working as anyone (and with me to put up with) to all the Events Teams down the years, from Nigel Payne (who knows a thing or two about Grand National Winners) to Webmaster and adopted scouser Miles Griffiths who built this magnificent site for us. I feel honoured to have you all.
Have a good look around, here at TVF, we're different. I doubt you'll find a harder working team, in fact I'll guarantee that, we've got big plans, it's going to be a great journey, coming along for the ride?
